many sources mention that when i add a control button from form controls into worksheet and right click on it, there should be option for properties from which i could change font, color , name etc.. but unfortunately when i do right click only options i see are: cut, copy, edit text, grouping, order, assign micro and format control but no properties . Using edit test i can change button name but that name is not recognized in vba code so how can i make it work?

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
there is a field called alternative text, can the name written here be used inside vba code, i think its just caption and not the name to be used in code.

Select the button then in the 'Name Box' to the left of the formula bar you can give the button a new name.
