Hi Everyone,

Could you please help me changing of selected font color inside a cell. Selection of words/ characters is depends on the user wants to color.

Ex, "John Peter" i wanted to color only "er" which is at the end
"Dave Smith is a corporate trainer" color only "a corporate"

Kind Regards,
RN

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Perhaps you haven't given enough information, but based on what you have said ..
Just select the cell and then select the relevant text in the formula bar and apply the font colour you want.

Hi NimishK,

Thank you for the reply.

The code will be helpful if I have search string. But my problem is all the users will look into the cells and change the font color as and when applicable.

Thanks,
RN

Hi Peter_SSs,

Thank you for the reply.

Currently we are following the same way as suggested by you. By this method it kills huge amount of time, hence requesting for help.

Thanks,

So what system/process do you envisage?
How might it work?

We are using manual method to change the colors of selected texts and the tedious task is every time we will be using the drop down of the font color section and change the font color as applicable.

Please see the example screen shot below for your reference.

I'm not looking at your sheet so I don't know exactly what that means.

Please see the example screen shot below for your reference.

As you have no doubt noticed, we cannot see an image that is on your computer. My signature block below has a link with suggestions for showing small screen shots. Alternatively you could upload an image to a file-share site and provide a link here. The disadvantage of the second option is that we cannot copy from an image to test with if the image you are showing is of sample data.
