Hi all,

I have a document that I need to convert large amounts of numbers that have been put into the decimal hours format (e.g. 0.25 hours). But I need to change this to a the number that can be formatted into the excel time formats (e.g. 0.25 hours = 10.2 minutes and or 0.0069444 as a general format).

Can anybody tell me the most appropriate method to change these number formats? As I cannot figure this out?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
How does 0.25 hours = 10.2 minutes? 0.25 is a quarter, a quarter of an hour = 15 minutues = 0.0104166666666667.

To convert a decimal time to real time you divide it by 24.
