Hi, i have a lot of data in an access db, and want to remove the last two digits of a field, ie change 432100 to 4321. Is this possible? I have about 3.5 million records.

cheers, alice xxxxx

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
You could use a query with this as the expression:

TruncateLast2: Mid([Field1],1,Len([Field1])-2)

This will allow for variable length data and trim off the last 2 characters.

Hope this helps.
