I have a question about power query, every day at work I have to download files from the company system, at that time there was a system error so I changed 4 cells and added a yellow highlight (as a marker that I changed) to the file that I downloaded earlier. when I process the power query that I have created, I don't know why the power query counts many rows twice. To clarify, 1 file has 20,853 lines after processing it becomes 41,706. this case has been resolved by deleting duplicate data but I am curious why this could happen. can anyone explain the reason? does changing the data and giving it a yellow highlight have a significant effect?

Power query does not see formatting, so something else caused the issue. Perhaps there are duplicate files, or duplicated data in the file, or you referenced the workbook with the previous query as well.

Thank you for responding to my thread. I also think like that. If the original data is duplicated, I will make sure it is not because the data I processed is transaction data and has a unique transaction number
