is there any way this can be done? The formula I am using is:

{=IFERROR(INDEX(Teachers,SMALL(IF(subs=$B$3,ROW(Teachers)),ROW(4:4))-1,1),””)}

Thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Try rather...

{=IFERROR(INDEX(Teachers,SMALL(IF(subs=$B$3,ROW(Teachers)-ROW(INDEX(Teachers,1,1))+1),ROWS($1:1))),"")}

provided that Teachers and subs exist and correctly defined.

I mean you need to use the correct inverted commas "". Yours were slanted hence excel giving the name error. Ill presume you copied that formula from a webpage? The slanted inverted commas are not correct but often are used in webpages.
