Change Legend Series in Chart - Excel 2007

Excel 2007 does not have same chart options as previous version. My chart is good, my data is in the correct order, but my legend is not. How can I change just the legend order.

To change the legend order you need to change the series plot order.

For me the legend order is the same as the series order. They are inextricably linked.

Makes sense they should be in same order, but for some reason they aren't, and I cannot change the legend. Thank you for checking.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but,

Right click on chart
- Select Data
then you should be able to edit the the legends.

Thank you AhoyNC. When I click on the chart & select the data, the box to edit the legend is in the correct order, and I can edit from there. But on the chart itself, the legend does not appear in that same order. I know I could do it in previous versions.

chart type (column/line etc), chart subtype (clustered/stacked) and axis location (primary secondary) will also impact on the legend order.
