Hi All,

I have a cell that contains a number. What I would like to do is prefix this, using Conditional Formatting(?), so that when a value changes the format of the cell will change.

Eg. If D4 has a number of 1700. If program 1 is selected in F4, then in D4 the format will show XXX 1700. If program 2 is selected in F4, D4 will format as XXXX 1700.

The formats I would like you are currently a Custom Format, that I have created.

Thanks in Advance

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I I have solved this myself. In my haste I was referencing the wrong cell as the trigger.
