Have numbers in Excel 2016 column that sorts with A to Z instead of smallest. How can I change order from A to Z to smallest to largest?
Cells/columns are defined as a numeric type.
if it STILL doesnt sort correctly, then you need to convert the cells. NOT by a format command, that wont work.
make another column to convert the bad column: = value(a2)
then it should sort.
Yes, I know
Usually, when you format as number, they are in align right by default, am I right? my column is stored as number and displayed with left align, and thats makes a problem with sorting. By default If you have a numbers in column/rows excel gives you Sort>Order>Smallest to larget. If it see column like text gives you Sort>Order>A to Z.
