Change a column format and info

Good day

I have a sheet in excel 2010 called Recon
It is extracted and saved as Web Page (*.htm;*.html)

I would then save it as a macro enabled workbook (*.xlsm)

This is my problem
Column E is then saved as text showing amounts as R 369,90 and lager amounts as R3 000,00

I need to change this to numbers so they can be added
This is done a few times a day and any solve to not do this manually would be great

Either by way of a formula in another column or a macro

The Comma represent the decimal and should change to "." to allow Excel to add it
