In Excel 97 is it possible to insert a cent symbol and not the dollar sign???

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Format the cell as something other than currency to avoid the automatic dollar sign in front of a number. Where you want the "¢" cents symbol to appear in the cell, do so by pressing the Alt key and while that's pressed, enter the numerals 0162, release the Alt key, and hit Enter. Any help?

Actually this is pretty interesting as I only get it to work if I type the 0162 in with my "keypad" to the left side of the keyboard, not if I use the numbers across the top of keyboard..Very Interesting!!!
