Cell Value

How can I pull a cell number value from a table using a column and row reference. For example if I number the columns from 1 to 12 and I number he rows from 1 to 31 how can I pull the value from column 5; row 20?

I might be missing something here, but......

Cells(20,5).select

or

Cells(20,5).copy

OR

x=Cells(20,5).value
MsgBox x

OR a formula

=E20
