Cell formatting problem

Hi,

I have one cell in my spreadsheet "1" that doesn't react to formatting. In the spreadsheet "1" there are many cells that have links to another spreadsheet "2" and if the values in that spreadsheet "2" are zero then by using cell formatting in the spreadsheet "1" instead of values "0" there are symbols "-".
There is one cell that keeps displaying "0" no matter what I try to do. I have tried text to columns option, different cell formatting options but nothing works. I think that this might be related to the spreadsheet "2" or maybe the link (?) because if I paste the link to a cell that normally displays "-" it changes to "0" ??? However other links from the same workbook where is the spreadsheet "2" don't cause this problem !!!

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

Cheers,

A

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Dear Kramart

Please see if the "0" is showing some decimals in the formula bar , u will have to rounddown it to show "-".
Also check whether the "0" is of Decimal data type & not Text

Hope it helps

Thanks,

The formula in other spreadsheet had the 0 in double quotes hence returning text not number.
