cell direction not cell location

I need a conditional format for a cell to Yellow highlight when the cell 4 spaces to the left of the current cell has the number "86".

How can I write this without using cell address?
Right now I have in cell G116:

=C116=86

You know, (now that you mention it), I've noticed CF usually uses absolute references too. I wonder why it isn't today. (?)

And yeah, I like the indirect formula too. (But I hate R1C1 referencing...) :mad:
