Hello guys & Gals,

I have excel 2013 and I am trying to do something but cant seem to.

In column A I want a leading / before any data I enter in the cell.

So for example I want "/time" or "/545" (just examples.)

I tried custom format and format tried was ?"/"? and tried 0"/"0 and several others.
None of them work and I cant seem to get a leading / even if I try to type manually the / brings up excel program choices.

So is there any way to get a leading / before any data?
Or even just to type a leading / without bringing up menu choices.

I have to enter hundreds of rows of date in column A all must have a leading /.

Thanks in advance
Gren

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hello,

Have you tested '"/"@ in your custom format ...?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the help, I greatly appreciate it.

The "/"@ worked for me as you suggested.
I will keep that in mind if I have to do that again.

Thanks again.
Have a great weekend
