Capitalize first letter

Hi,

How to use the Proper function for below example.

I need to capitalize the first letter of the first and last name in a email

for example, if I have xxx.yyyy@gmail.com, I want it as Xxx.Yyyy@gmail.com

Just a business req and yes the first and last names have a "period" between them (same format)

Another option:

=PROPER(TEXTBEFORE(A1, "@"))&"@"&TEXTAFTER(A1, "@")

This works too.

This capitalizes every first letter, including after the "@", which is not what I need.
