Hi,

I am having a problem with one of my workbooks. I have grouped some columns, but now I can't see the button on the top of the grouped ones. I tried to group/ungroup again and, as there were some hidden rows, I tried to unhide them all and it is still not working. Can anyone please give me a hand?

Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the Board,

In Excel Options, there is a setting to display or hide the grouping hide/show detail buttons.

In Excel 2007:
Click WindowsOffice Icon in Upper Left of Window
Click Excel Options > Advanced >
Scroll down to section "Display options for this worksheet:"
Check "show outline symbols if an outline is applied"

I just had the same issue where I pressed something on the keyboard and the Grouping number buttons disappeared.
It turns out I had pressed CTRL+8.

CTRL+8 toggles these buttons and appearance on and off.

You can also go into the Options menu and do it the long way.

Cheers,
H

Hi,
I am experiencing the same issue, however all the suggestion that have been provided and have worked for others experiencing this issue have not worked for me.

"show outline symbols if an outline is applied"
Is Check.

CTRL+8 toggles these buttons and appearance on and off.
Creates movement on the sheet, but still does not show the +/-

I can insert columns without a problem, but when I copy and insert or format the symbols disappear.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
