Can't insert anything and charts missing???

Hey all,

Opened up Excel to work on a macro-enabled, with live oracle and SQLi connection workbook, and all my charts are gone, and I cannot insert anything from pictures to charts, they are all greyed out. Yes, connections and macros are enabled. This happened before, and after fiddling with other things in the workbook, I noticed my charts were back like normal, but I have no idea what triggered it. tried refreshing my live data, no go. Help!
