Hello,

I am having problem creating a chart in Excel 2016 for the Mac. I have spent a couple of hours on the problem already and it's driving me nuts. I keep getting close to solving the problem but can't quite crack it, the tips and explanations on the internet all refer to older versions of Excel and the instructions don't quite marry up to Excel 2016.

I have a series of data like this (I tried to use table formatting, couldn't figure it out):-
02/11/2016 01:22
02/11/2016 00:52
02/11/2016 00:22
02/10/2016 23:51

02/10/2016 19:50

I want a scatter graph with smooth lines and markers. I want the time and date along the X axis and the numbers along the Y axis.

I want the date and time to be spaced correctly along the X axis according to it's relative time, not spaced evenly. The data will continue to grow and there will be occasions where large amounts of data are missing. eg there may be no data for a couple of days.

My attempts do not space the time properly, bunching all the data points at one end of the chart.

Thanks very much in advance.
