Hi

I've got two questions:

1) I've got an Excel file where if I right-click on a tab then click 'delete' (to delete the tab), nothing happens! Has this happened to anyone else?

2) when I try to sort data in a different tab in the same file, it doesn't sort! There are only three columns - category name, sales and percentage of sales. I tried to sort by sales (largest to smallest) but noting happened. Also tried to sort by percentage of sales (largest to smallest), but again nothing happened.

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

Is there more than one tab in the workbook? It won't let you delete it if there is just one tab.
Is there any protection placed on the workbook?
Also, is there any VBA code in this workbook? What is the Excel file extension?

Is this data you are trying to sort hard-coded data, or formulas? If formulas, sorting the formula doesn't necessarily sort the data the formulas return.
Also, just like the first question, is there any protection placed on the workbook and is there any VBA code in the workbook?

Hi Joe

Thanks for the prompt response!

There was no protection on the workbook and there were several tabs, but I re-started my laptop and that appears to have solved the issue (I hadn't re-started it for a few days).

I do have a different question, though, if you don't mind?

I have a pivot chart that's based on data that only goes up to 100% (the data has a number of categories with a price compliance figure eg 43%, 75%, 94%, 100%), etc. However, although the maximum price compliance figure is 100%, the Pivot Chart goes up to 120%!! Do you know how I can alter the chart, so it only goes up to 100%?

Its best to post new questions to their own threads, especially since I have never worked with Pivot Charts, and cannot provide you with assistance there (Excel is too big, it is impossible to know everything about all its features!).
