Hi, I just got a new laptop at work and I am getting an error when refreshing pivot tables.

I have had pivot tables that refresh from data in a closed workbook for the last 3 years. Now on my new laptop when I try to refresh the table I get an error saying "Cannot open PivotTable source file".

If I open the file with the data, the table refreshes without a problem.

Any advice here?

I am on Windows 10
Office 365 64bit

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Verify the path to the source file. Data/Connections.

When I went to data there was a button that said Queries & Connections. There was nothing under the connections pane. I went to Existing connections and created a connection to the file I am referencing but it still doesn't allow the pivot table to be refreshed with the file closed.
