I have a database mixed with Latin and Arabic alphabets. I can't get the date to appear in Latin alphabet. As you can see

here

I clearly have the language selected as English and the format is in Latin yet the cell keeps showing as Arabic. I'm using Excel for Mac 2021

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried changing fonts too.

With dates you can do an additional trick...
Convert them to numbers first and then format as dates

It's more of a trial and error thing but at time s work.

Try and revert.
