cannot find the excel file icon in the folder

Hi Everyone,

can somebody help me with the above problem if it is a problem?when I double click for a new file a list of files in my folder shows up like MS Word documents/publisher/Access/compressed (zipped)docs.but no excel icon.
I have a windows10 and excel 2016
