Happy Wednesday Guys,

I have a spreadsheet with about 100 tabs with tons of macros. Today, I received the below message and now I cannot open the file with the macros enable.

I enable the macros in the Macro Settings and that is no doing it. The macros are not blocked either in the properties.

Does anyone know how I can go around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
try this
open new excel - go to file open and navigate to file in question then go to Open and Repair...-
do save as and overwrite

I would strongly suggest either taking a backup copy of the newly recovered file and/or taking a copy of the macros out to a text file to limit the nightmare of it breaking down again
If you make major changes save it frequently with a different version number filev1, filev2, etc
I am saying this as recently had to rebuild a workbook that self destructed fortunately the data was external and I had copies of the macros and power query scripts saved elsewhere

Glad it works but just so you know it may happen again so backup your file as often as you can.
