I cannot click on a row or column, hold down the mouse, and drag to select multiple rows or columns. When I try to do this the highlighted area just changes to the next row or column.
Here's what I've tried so far to fix the issue:
(1) Ensured that 'Scroll Lock' was off.
(2) Ensured that 'Enabled Fill Handle and Drag-and-Drop' was active.
(3) Ran a complete deep scan for viruses.
(4) Using the 'Change' function in 'Program and Features' to completely reinstall Office 365.
(5) Restart computer.
(6) Close and reopen Excel.
After restarting Excel I can drag and select multiple rows or columns just once. Then all I get is that the highlighted row or column just changes to whatever row or column the mouse is over when I drag. And when I select a cell, and try to perform a task (enter formular, delete entire row, or column, change row height or column width), it performs those functions on the cell which was last included in the drag, And it won't let me select a new cell, until I restart the program.
I can't think of anything else to try, other than what's mentioned online as fixes (see list above).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
