When I sought help on a program I was working on I was sent an Excell file which I saved to a 3.5 floppy
When I tried to open it I received this message
'countdays' cannot br accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-ony location or the server the document is stored on may not be responsible.
In the disc properties it states that is an xls file, and the archived box is ticked, and type is listed as Text.
Can someone give me a fuller explanation ot this?.

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
You should never access an Office file from floppy. Copy to hard drive first.

When a file is opened a temporary .tmp version is produced. There may not be enough space in the floppy to take it. Worse still, you could open it and make changes then find that the now larger file cannot save on the floppy. The resulting crash generally makes the file unusable and unable to save anywhere.
