Dear All,

I am new to PowerPivot but a long time Excel user.

I created a PivotTable based on PowerPivot in Excel 2010. I want to share my creation with others who are at best casual users of Excel. I would like the user to be able to manipulate the PivotTable but also limit the tables and fields displayed in the Field List. Any advise on how to do this?

Thanks,

GL

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
You can right-click columns in the PP window and choose 'Hide from Client tools'.

RoryA,

PERFECT!! Just what I was looking for. Thank you for the very speedy response.

Might there be a way to hide a whole table with one click rather than each column individually? Alternatively, can I select multiple columns or all columns, and then select hide?

Yes, you can shift click multiple columns. In diagram view you can hide an entire table by right-clicking it; in data view you can do the same by right-clicking the table tab at the bottom.
