I am working with a data set which is in pivot tables which is a series of staff appraisals and the dates these were conducted. That part has been simple. However, my bosses have asked if the table can be changed to list all staff that have not had an appraisal in the last 6 weeks.

Any advice on how i could get that to work?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Take todays date
Subtract 42 days (6 weeks).
If the appraisal date is greater than the above date then you need to list it.

Depends what your pivot table looks like.

Hi Special-K99.
ive already done that and then filtered however most staff have multiple records some will be more than 6 weeks and some will be less. For those that are less they would show up in the pivot implying they haven't had an appraisal in the last 6 weeks when they have, they just have one that is older than 6 weeks too.

I only want to show in a report (pivot table or otherwise) the names of staff who have not had an appraisal in the last 6 weeks. The above shows which appraisals are older than 6 weeks.

does that make sense?
