Hi,
I am new to Excel, so I will keep this brief. I have Excel 2013.
Having opened up a new business, I am in need of some expert pivot charts and graphs to show my business performance.
The business I am in is all about trading rice.
I have a date field, a field that captures how much rice was offered and how much I paid. The end column has a P&L figure.
DATE Rice Offered £m Rice Purchased £m P&L
01-Sep $50.70 $7.20 $128.50
02-Sep $45.66 $4.80 $69.50
03-Sep $64.80 $9.20 $138.00
04-Sep $61.50 $14.60 $145.50
05-Sep $290.20 $82.50 $1,094.00
08-Sep $291.40 $45.20 $458.00
09-Sep $108.50 $11.80 $182.50
10-Sep $75.99 $14.30 $210.00
11-Sep $92.00 $20.50 $241.00

I want some really smart reporting using Power BI, where I can chart the following:
1. Daily volumes, perhaps plot lines for volume offered and volume purchased?
2. Daily P&L, but with that line graph, do I show weighted average, i.e. performance over time? If so, how do I do this?
3. Volume offered to me, do I show this with a weighted average to show how much was offered over time?
4. Volume purchased by me, do I show this with a weighted average to show how much was purchased over time?
I also want to show forecasts for rest of the month, i.e Feb 2015 and also EoM Forecast so that I know what numbers I need to hit.
I want the thing to look really jazzy and sexy.
