Can someone kindly explain what the "3" does in this formula

pointtotal is a named range. Trying to understand the purpose of the 3 in the scoring formula. thank you

=ROUND(100-pointtotal/3,0)/100

It divides the pointtotal by 3, with this quotient then being subtracted from 100.
