Hello all,

I'm looking to create an inactivity "timeout" vb script.
What I want is when someone has had a spreadsheet open for x amount of time without doing anything it will save and close the document.

I'm a new starter in vb script and can't work this one out!

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Welcome Paul, hope this helps.

The following goes in your ThisWorkbook Module

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Application.OnTime Now + TimeValue("00:00:15"), "Save_Close"
End Sub

The following goes in a project module that you have inserted

Private Sub Save_Close()
With ThisWorkbook
.Save
.Close
End With
End Sub
