I've noticed that when i do a search by "any"
author i can ony access the first page. When
i choose any other page in the dropdown, it comes up a blank page. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

1) Do you mean the "search for ANY of the terms" option? There isn't one specifically for search for any author. It does that anyway unless you specify one.

2) No, I just did a test search and chose the next page from the drop down and it came up just fine. Were you getting an error page, or was it just entirely blank? You may just need to wait a bit longer. Some days it can go rather slow.

Hope it helps,

Here it is step by step:

1.) Click search
Keywords = Empty
Forum = Excel Questions
Author = Von Pookie
Sort by = Date
Search in = Subject & Message Body

2.) Click submit
(394) Topics Found (1 to 20)

3.) Mousing over Next Page does not change the cursor to the hand

4.) Click on the Dropdown Arrow
click on 2 (page 2)

**********************
RESULTS:
Document Done
Blank Page
No Error Message
Mr Excels advertisement loads and is active at the top of the page / but that's it the 2 page doesn't load.

Hmmm. I'm not sure about the text link, but what you're describing about the advertisement loading and nothing else, could just be that it's taking a while to load the entire page. Sometimes it will say done, but it won't be done showing everything on the screen.

It's a little confusing, I know, but it's weird like that sometimes. Next time you try it, try just leaving that page up and waiting a bit and check back to it every now and then to see if anything's come up. Also, if you're using IE, you can always check and see if the little logo in the corner is moving.

Of course, if all else fails, maybe try refreshing the page?

James,

I followed the steps and it did work.

Are you using Netscape? It might only cause errors with Netscape browser as far as I know since I designed that combo boxes for easier navigation.

Hi Suat,

Yes, I am using Netscape. Does this mean I'm
the only one on the board that uses Netscape
that trys to access the search???

This seems to be a great handicap.

If it makes you feel any better, I had exactly the same experience, just about a week ago, on IE6. However one day and a powerdown later it was back to normal.
