  1. Windows
I have FullRowSelect on and this enables a button to do things with data in that row,
But if it is clicked again (while highlit), a small text box opens beside the checkbox in column 1.
This isn't wanted, can it be prevented anyhow?

Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
A textbox that allows you to edit the selected entry? If so, it sounds like you need to change your LabelEdit property from lvwAutomatic to lvwManual

Youre very welcome. I found the answer to your other question re the inkedit control, by the way. I was right - you can get that info via the Text Object Model. The code works out to be a little longer than what you ended up using, I think, but on the whole, using the text object model is on balance better than trying to juggle API calls. Let me know if you're interested.

I admire your know-how on these controls. I found it very hard to get good info on them as they refer to different platforms.
I'd like to see what you have on text object model (not heard of it till now). The InkEdit HitTest you gave me is working well and made what I was doing that much better.
