can I run multiple excel sessions at same time so saving one does not require calculation of other?

I have some large excel workbooks that can take 15 minutes to update when I save them.

Is there a way to launch an entirely separate instance so I can work on other excel sheets and save them without needing to wait for the larger workbook to finish calculating?

I know how to launch separate sessions, but the sessions do not seem to be completely independent from one another, i.e., when I try to save a file in one, both sessions calculate.

Thanks

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Yes!
Just hold alt and right click on the already open Excel icon on the task bar, then click Excel, continue to hold alt until a commandbox pops up asking if you want to open a new instance, volia!
