Environment: Windows XP Pro w/SP3 Excel 2000. Default browser: Firefox 3.0.7
I am able to open a web page with an Excel macro. From the macro I would like to click on a button on the web page. When I look at the source for the web page it looks like the function I want is embedded in javascript.
For an example of the data I'm interested in go to http://finance.yahoo.com/p?k=pf_1

and click on "Download Spreadsheet"
(From Excel drop down menu I've tried Data/Get External Data/New Web Query in lieu of using a macro to download the spreadsheet. When I try to browse (any) web page I receive the "To use this feature, you must have a World Wide Web browser, such as Internet Explorer." I receive this error message even when I have an IE window open. If I could get this to work I believed it would be a better and simpler approach to downloading the stock market quotes I'm interested in.)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
