Can I protect formalas and have grouped data

Is there any way you can have protected formula's but let grouped data open and shut? Once a sheet it protected and the formula's are locked, im unable to open gruped data, is there a way to lock formulas, and be able to open and close grouped data without having to protect/unprotect the sheet?
