I have an Excel sheet that has approx. 25 tabs/sheets in it. I want to lock just the one tab/sheet to the scrolling tab bar, so when I scroll through the other tabs/sheets, that one main tab is always visible for easy access. . . .

I have kind of a "table of contents" tab/sheet with hyperlinks on it to the other tabs. I want to be able to easily return to my table of contents after it brings me to the tab I wanted to visit. I don't want to have to scroll all the way back through each tab to get to my main tab. . . hopefully that makes sense.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
I do not know of a way to always show a tab but there are ways to speed up going to a tab.
You could put hyperlinks on the other sheets to your table of contents tab
You could make a macro with a assigned short cut that goes to the tab
You can right click on the sheet arrows and select what sheet you want to go to
you could have a macro change the order of the sheets so that you never have to scroll the table of contents sheet tab out of view.

I didn't realize I could right click and select a tab - thanks! I also didn't even think of a hyperlink back to my contents tab on the other tabs.
