I have a number of customers producing a certified product but their certificates cannot be allowed to expire. Using Excel I want to track the certificate type , expiration date, todays date and if the certificate is 30 days before expiration use their e-mail address to send a form letter asking them to provide a current certificate.

A1: Vendor Name = ABC Inc

A2: Contact Name = John French

A3: Email address= French@ hotmail.ca

A4: Certifcate Type= NSB

A5: Expiration date = September 23,05

A6: Todays date = September 14,05

A&: Days to Expiration=9

A9: Request Certificate Renewal = yes

Mabe there is a smarter way to do this as well.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
You can do it

You can sync Excel with Outlook. Get Excel to lookup the email address from the Contacts database and initiate the email but honestly...

It would be much easier to set the task in Outlook as a reminder and sync it with the Contact name. Create a base template for renewing certificates and your basically done.

That is if you aren't sending out a significant number of certificate renewing requests each day.

Great idea thanks.
Yes ,there are only about 9 contacts to track and the frequency is annually so Outlook is a good alternative.

Much appreciated.
