Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.

I don't think so.

What are you actually trying to do?

Basically, it is a user interface issue. I am trying to keep it dynamic.

If I was using just plane access I could use the system tables to return a list of reports, however I am using *.adp with and SQL server, so the report information is now only stored in the application properties. Although I can reference the application properties though VBA to return the report object details, I don’t want to append this data to a table as my users will not have the same *.adp file.

What I want is to display the reports database window as a subform so my users can pick reports based on icons instead of using a combo or list box. Are there any controls that will allow me to display reports as a list of icons? I don’t want my user to see or access any of the database windows as they are not very good with computers in general. I have even disabled the shift key to ensure this!

Hullo. It might not work, but would your users accept a form that has many different buttons on it, for your reports? It would be a tedious thing to set up at first, but it might just solve your problems without having to do MAJOR VBA shenanigans.

It would be possible to automate that process.

That is write code that adds a button for each report to a form.
