Can I add a drop down arrow to all cells in a single column that, when clicked, presents a list of options with checkboxes? Then after checking all desired options, they automatically appear in a list in that cell?

In this example, column D has the Notes header, and every cell is blank by default, with a drop down arrow. When I click the drop down arrow, I would like to be shown a list of options. After I mark the boxes next to the applicable options, I would like those options to appear in a list inside the cell.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you need a custom "form" and the selection change event. When a cell in column d is entered the worksheet selection change event shows the form with checkboxes. When user is done with the form, the form's code puts the list of selected items into the cell. Are you able to post your workbook using Box, Dropbox, 1Drive, SharePoint? That'l make it more likely that you'll get help.
