Hi Folks,

I'm hoping this will be an easy one. I am simply trying to count blank cells in a column but I would like to exclude the hidden rows if possible.

The formula I'm using is =COUNTIF(E3:E63,""), very basic but it's picking up the hidden rows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I don't think this can be done directly, but a workaround would be to create a helper column, let's say Z, with Z3 =--(E3="") copy down through Z63.
This will give you a 1 if E is "" and 0 if not.
Next: =SUBTOTAL(109,Z3:Z63).
This will sum the values in Z3:Z63, excluding hidden rows.
