Here is the Excel formula being used on the main worksheet where the formula arrives with the sum of A3 through E3 in worksheet tab called 2023 :

=SUM('2023'!A3:E3)

Can this formula be altered so that E3 only in this above formula points to a variable in the main worksheet so that when the variable cell is change to, for instance, F3, it auto-calculates with with sum of A3 through F3 in the worksheet 2023?

Thank you in advance!

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
You can do that with INDIRECT.

Excel Formula:
=SUM(INDIRECT("2023!A3:"&B2)

B2 being the cell containing E3, F3, etc.
