We have many Word documents with text as well as Excel tables embedded within. These are hundred page reports. As they are being loaded with information someone might put a comment within parenthesis and another person might put a comment in brackets and someone else might not know a value at the time they update the document so they put in $00.

Well the risk is that the final product goes out with these placeholders and memo items still in them.

We've been asked to run "find" commands on 8 such Word files and as far as we know we can select only one item at a time. For example, run a "find ( " then later once this has cranked through the entire document "find [" then later once this has cranked through the entire document "find $00" etc.

Is there a "find (,[,),],$00" command or a "find ( or [ or $00" command ? Or is there another forum or website better suited for this Word/Excel question ?
