Hi,
I say formula deletion but here is my issue.

On a worksheet i have the following

EaseUS_2024_08_29_10_04_20.jpg

The cell for Total is as follows.

EaseUS_2024_08_29_10_04_32.jpg

I have a user that now & then will manually enter a figue in column M where the =IF statements are placed.
As you know the manual entry then deletes the IF statement so next time when we enter values for quantity & Unit Price NO value is shown in the Total cell.

How is it possible to stop the manual entry to prevent the deletion of the =IF statement

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
You have to protect the worksheet for locking cells to work. Depending on what else is happening on the worksheet, that may or may not cause other issues. User training may be easier. ;)

My first computer job was when I was in United States Airforce.
I learned very early to always keep backups to our files. Users were constantly entering data over my formulas.

I keep a backup also but sometimes the cell he has typed in might not be used for a while.

You could use some VBA to re-enter the formula anytime that cell is altered. But then there is the issue of enabling content every now and then, and if they don't enable it, then it won't keep the formula in the cell. I have a similar issue here, and no matter how often I mention it, or help "fix" the file after multiple formulas have been overwritten, it doesn't solve the matter. Now, I just use a version of my own when I need to use the sheet. Luckily, it's a daily one-time-use kind of thing, so my copy doesn't need to keep track of any data beyond the day.
