I need to write and expression that calcutates the time difference between date filmed and date aired. In weeks + number of days (i.e, 2 weeks, 3 days) Help :rolleyes:

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Put this code in a module:

Code:
Public Function ConvertDays(ByVal dteStartDate As Date, dteEndDate As Date) As String

    Dim intDifference As Integer
    Dim intWeeks As Integer, intDays As Integer
    Dim strResult As String

    intDifference = Abs(DateDiff("d", dteStartDate, dteEndDate)) + 1

    intWeeks = Int(intDifference / 7)

    intDays = intDifference Mod 7

    strResult = IIf(intWeeks = 0, vbNullString, IIf(intWeeks = 1, intWeeks & " week and ", intWeeks & " weeks and "))

    strResult = strResult & _
        IIf(intDays = 0, vbNullString, IIf(intDays = 1, intDays & " day.", intDays & " days."))

    If intDays = 0 Then strResult = Left(strResult, Len(strResult) - 4)

    ConvertDays = strResult

End Function

Then just call it wherever with: =ConvertDays(x, y)

where x and y are your two arguments: filmed and aired.
