Calculating YTD Amounts, by month

Here is an excerpt of accounting activity that brought into Access via query:

You can see that there is activity in several months, but not all months.

I need to be able to calculate year-to-date amounts, by month, so that the output looks like this:

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Firstly, I think you will need to convert your "Month" column into actual date value. Access cannot really work off of the Text representation of a month to do what you want.
Then, you should be able to employ one of the methods shown here: Create a running totals query - Microsoft 365 Apps

You could make a translation table. Jan = 1, Feb = 2 etc.
Then link to the translation table to get your YTD.

But working with actual dates is definitely the preferred method, as it opens up other sorting, filtering and consolidation options.
