Hello! I am a beginner/intermediate user of Excel. I am in HR and track all stages of the pre-employment process. I need to show quantitative data - for example - the number of days it took from the time we extended an offer to the time we were able to onboard that person.

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
What quantitative measures do you want? Also, I think the file created date for Jayne Smith has the month and day number in the wrong order. Please confirm.

If all you want is the number of elapsed days between two dates you can just subtract one from the other. For example:

Book1
ABCD
1NameFile createdActual start dateElapsed days
2John Smith23/02/20248/04/202445
3

Cell Formulas

@awoohaw as an Australian the date for Jane Smith is one of the few that looks the right way round to me. :)
