I Need some help. I want to calculated if data will uploaded on the 1st or the 15th based on today date. So for example if today is 11/27/2012 then the next data upload will be on 12/1/2012. And come 12/1/2012 next data upload will be on 12/15/2012. I've used formula below to calculate but when I enter any date after 12/15/2012 I get 1/1/2012 which is not what I need I need to tell me 1/1/2013

=IF(L1<=(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY()),DAY(15))),(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY()),DAY(15))),DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), MONTH(TODAY()) + (DAY(TODAY()) >= 15), 1))

Where L1 is todays current date.

Try

=IF(DAY(L1)>=15,DATE(YEAR(L1),MONTH(L1)+1,1),DATE(YEAR(L1),MONTH(L1),15))

Here's another one...

=IF(DAY(L1)<15,L1+15-DAY(L1),EOMONTH(L1,0)+1)

Format as Date

Note that the EOMONTH function requires the Analysis ToolPak
add-in be installed if you're using a version of Excel prior to
Excel 2007. If you enter the formula and get a #NAME?
error look in Excel help for the EOMONTH function. It'll tell you
how to fix the problem.
