If, vlookup calculation?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to streamline a process where we compare the difference in prices (annually) on a spreadsheet without copying all the data onto 1 worksheet.

We have a data extract (Columns A:L) with 2 work sheets in the extract (labelled current and last year).

What I wish to do is Vlookup the item shown in column A on worksheet "current" and look at its cost in column C (same worksheet) and then find the difference using the same critera on worksheet "last year" ie find the difference between the 2 costs.

Thank you

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
