I am trying to create a date number generator in Excel, however day 1 is 28th or 29th February 1852 (28/02/1852). not that I need to calculate something of that age, however, to be able to work with a more realistic dates I need to know the date numbers going forward. I also would like to be able to input a day number and for it to return the date. I don’t know where to start and would appreciate some help. TIA. A WebApp was mentioned, but I currently do not have the knowledge to be able to work that one out either. TIA

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
two date systems in excel 1900 and 1904, before that dates are meaningless, so 1852 is out. There are work arounds but don't manipulate in the normal excel fashion
1900 produced 42385 and 1904 = 40923

mole999, Thanks for your help. I have managed to come up with a formula to calculate the date number. Thanks again.
